Vaudeville. A 4m tall boardable Mech, controlled via Microsoft Kinnect technology and your own smart phone, using the AE V-Sido control system. Designed and created by “Suidobashi Heavy Industry”, a collective of Tokyo-based mecha enthusiasts, Vaudeville weighs in at an impressive 4.9 tons. The principal design of the mech consists of a cockpit integrated into the torso, mounted on 4 wheel-ended appendages.
Attached to the torso are the arms, the work-in-progress videos show one arm mounted with what looks like the water-gun attachment (mentioned on the group’s website), whilst the other is able to crush a box literally in its fist. Suidobashi Heavy Industry offer the options of a camouflaged paint-job, the aforementioned water gun or a mop, for those really hard to reach places inside your giant robot hanger.
The first Vaudeville should be rolling out at the end of this year. Needless to say: I am very excited.
